May Connor had travelled down south on February 28 to help support four of her grandchildren after the sudden death of her 54-year-old son Kevin.
But the 79-year-old took unwell within days and was admitted to hospital where medics discovered a blood clot in her leg. Surgeons had considered amputating the pensioner's leg before the operation was determined too risky and a stent was inserted instead.Devastated May was forced to miss her son’s funeral on April 8 due to her ill health and soon began to deteriorate at St Thomas’ Hospital.On April 22, she tragically passed away on the 28th anniversary of her late.
