Rod Stewart couldn't contain his joy at getting close to his old friend last night, hugging Ronnie Wood when they met up indoors for the first time in a year.
It looked like Tonight's The Night as Rod, 76, and Ronnie, 73, also embraced each other's wives, Penny, 50 and Sally, 43, in an emotional reunion at The Arts Club in London.
Yesterday was a landmark on the roadmap to recovery from coronavirus restrictions. On May 17, the law changed so that up to six people or two different households could meet indoors, while restaurants and pubs were open for dining and drinking indoors, and foreign travel to certain holiday destinations is now allowed.
