A Scots family have been "forced to get a boat home" after being caught up in travel chaos as they tried to get home from Australia.
Ben Newbon travelled for nearly four days with his wife and their two young children as they desperately tried to return to their home in Edinburgh.
The 36-year-old was finally heading out to Sydney for a two week holiday to attend his sister's wedding, which has been postponed due to the pandemic.
The family were scheduled to stop in both Singapore and Amsterdam but were told "before they even left Sydney" that their connection was delayed, meaning they would miss their following flight.They hoped the chaos would end there when they quickly booked onto another connection - however huge queues and a lack of information in Amsterdam meant they were then stranded in the Netherlands.
