Scots dad in desperate plea to 'bring son home' nearly three months on from disappearance

A Scots dad has made a desperate plea to help "bring his son home" nearly three months on from his disappearance. Hillwalker Finn Creaney, from the Tain area of the Highlands, was last seen around 2.15pm on Friday, March 25, having been dropped off at Loch Naver, on the B873 public road in Sutherland.

The hiker, 32, was due to start his planned walking route around the loch and south to Golspie.The dad-of-one only had a water bottle, knife and blanket poncho with him - and he hasn't been seen since.Officers have carried out a number of searches by land, sea and air in a bid to find Finn - while rescue dogs have also been deployed.

The family say Finn was "of sound mind and the happiest he's ever been" before disappearing and his dad Mark Creaney is continuing to appeal for information.In a post on the UK Bushcraft and Wild Camping Facebook page, Mark said: "My son Finn Creaney went missing after starting a hike almost three months ago, he is a keen outdoorsman and bushcrafter."He took only minimal items (water bottle, knife and blanket poncho) on what was to be a three day hike."As part of the wider bushcraft/outdoor community I hope folk will share this was widely as you can."Help bring him home."Meanwhile the family continued to plead for help in the 'Search for Finn Creaney' Facebook group.They said: "Family and friends are desperate to be reunited with Finn as soon as possible."It's been nearly 12 weeks and there is still no trace.
