A Scots dad scared off a masked gang who broke into the family home as his two children slept upstairs.Midlothian dad Mark Mackenzie made his way downstairs before the three individuals heard him coming and were 'half way down the street' by the time he got down on Tuesday, December 10.
His two children, aged two and five, were asleep upstairs during what was the second break-in that the family has had this year.In July, thieves broke into Mark's Gorebridge home and stole his e-bike, which was never recovered.
He feels it is the same group of individuals who have returned this time.Mark told Edinburgh Live: "We were broken into six months ago.
We are sure its the same thieves. The last time they stole my e-bike, it was never recovered. Luckily, I heard them this time and ran downstairs.
