A Scots dad has died in Texas after a drunk driver mowed into his golf buggy.Fraser Anderson, 37, was with his two friends when they were struck by a black Escalade SUV at around 2.45am on Sunday.The father-of-two, who is originally from Aberdeen, was pronounced dead at the scene alongside Jacob Wnuk, 37.
A third friend, Christopher Standridge, 41, was taken to hospital in a critical condition but later died.Devastating images from the scene released by the US media show the wreckage of the golf buggy in the aftermath of the accident.Driver Daniel Rivera, 21, has now been charged with three counts of murder following the fatal crash.He is accused of being intoxicated at the time of the incident.
An eight-year-old girl and a woman are also believed to have been travelling in his car.Family man Fraser leaves behind his wife Gillian and two young children.
The couple are understood to have emigrated a number of years ago.Neighbours of the family have now created a fundraising page to help fly his heartbroken Scottish relatives to America for his funeral.Friend Jennifer Nickel said: "Please help Gillian and her family in this difficult time. "Proceeds will go towards travel costs as their family arrive from Scotland to say their goodbyes and to help Gillian and her two small children in the coming weeks."Jennifer said the 'boisterous' Scotsman will always be remembered as everyone's 'Uncle Fraser'.She continued: "Fraser's boisterous personality will be deeply missed by everyone who met him.
