A young man with autism has been left too scared to walk through his Scots hometown after he was attacked twice. Brandon Love, 20, was left battered and bruised outside Bar Yellow on Tweed Walk in Cumbernauld after a group of teens set upon him on December 10, 2021.

He says one of the assailants booted him in the face as he lay on the ground. And earlier this month, on August 6, Brandon, from nearby Moodiesburn, was once again targeted by a group, reports Glasgow Live. This time, while walking close to the scene of the first attack, he had his hat stolen before being struck in the face by an apple.

The thugs, a different gang from the previous incident, then launched an onslaught of verbal abuse at him - even threatening to get a blade.Brandon, who revealed he was fearing for his life, said: "I was at my sister's house and I told her I was heading off home.

I left for the bus stop in Cumbernauld. As soon as I got to the bottom of the stairs there was a group of boys and two or three girls."They started shouting at me and I knew where it was going.
