The family of a Scots cyclist fear he may have eaten a 'lethal mushroom' before vanishing almost a month ago. Steven Harper was attempting to ride from Dundee to India but lost contact with his loved ones on November 23.In his last message, the 38-year-old told relatives he had been foraging for food before boiling and eating fungi - which left him vomiting.

Brother Dale has issued a desperate plea on social media to help find his sibling, whose last known location was in the Monaco area.

He said: “Please help me find my little brother. “His last photos are from Monaco, France where we believe he stayed the night on a hill.

From what we know so far, Steven had his bike and bank card stolen along with his passport in early November. “His last message on the 23rd of November said he had ingested a potentially lethal mushroom while foraging for food and we have not heard from him since.
