A cycle-hating Scottish couple completed an epic around-the-world biking fundraiser in aid of a children’s hospice yesterday.
Bob and Deborah Gulliver set off on their world tour from the Children’s Hospice Across Scotland (CHAS) in Kinross in March 2022 to fundraise for the charity.
And in tribute to their surname, they called the trip Gullvier’s Travels. CHAS offers family support for those with children dealing with life-shortening conditions.
The Biggar couple, who “aren’t all that keen on cycling at all”, covered an impressive 35 countries and 30,200km, travelling across Europe, West Asia, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the US before cycling back through Europe over the past month.
