A Scots couple have slammed British Airways after their luggage was lost twice on a festive trip to Australia - both on the way there and the way back.

Marc and Linzi Speight have vowed never to travel BA again even if you paid them due to the "poor communication and customer service" they experienced during the holiday mishap. The couple jetted off to Australia in December to visit family over Christmas when their luggage first went missing and were anxious about returning home in case they were faced with more problems.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Linzi said: "After all the stress of the journey with cancelled flights and delays and all of the running around, we just wanted to get home to our belongings which really shouldn't have been a task. "I shouldn't have to get home after being away for around three weeks to then have to try and get in touch with BA who are just happy to ignore you.

We arrived in Edinburgh like other passengers who had the same awful experience as us."The couple's original flight was cancelled which meant they had to get a different connecting flight from Singapore to London in order to get home to Edinburgh and during that journey, their luggage, along with the rest of the passengers on the flight, was lost. She explained: "We had no luggage, nobody from the flight from Sydney had any luggage on the conveyor belt.
