A Scots mum is desperate to help her young son walk 'pain free' after he lost his fingers and toes following a battle with sepsis.
Jakub Kolek, six, from Edinburgh, was rushed to hospital with a serious infection at the age of just 18 months. His condition quickly worsened when sepsis set in and doctors were unsure if the youngster would survive.Against all the odds Jakub pulled through, but the sepsis caused severe damage in his limbs - eventually causing the tissue in his hands and feet to die.Jakub lost multiple fingers and all of his toes and five years on, he is is still in pain every time he walks.Now his mum Karina Kolek, 32, has opened up on her heartbreaking ordeal as she attempts to fundraise cash for a potentially life-changing
