A heart-stopping video shows the moment a Scots barmaid plummeted down an open hatch behind the bar while talking to a customer.
Chloe Kennedy fractured two ribs and was left with nerve damage after accidentally stepping into the open cellar behind the bar in Glasgow.
Video shows the 20-year-old serving customers at the bar, that Chloe wishes to anonymise, alongside two colleagues just moments before the horrific fall.A female barmaid with blonde hair is shown opening up the large cellar door while reaching for a large drinks container to take down.But just seconds later, Chloe from Paisley, Renfrewshire, can be seen turning around while still talking to a punter - unaware of the drop just inches away from her.She then takes a step before falling down into the cellar while her colleague frantically tries to grab onto her.Chloe's arm is shown reaching for something to grab onto as her torso hits off the side of the hatch door.Another colleague can be seen watching on in horror as Chloe disappears out of sight.As the clip comes to an end Chloe's head appears after managing to get back onto her feet.The footage was captured in October last year but was only just uploaded onto TikTok by Chloe last week, January 14.She captioned the video: “I fall down hatches wby (what about you)” alongside a laughing face emoji and a shrugging emoji.The clip has gone viral with over 3.3 million views and 349,000 likes.Thousands of shocked viewers commented on the clip.One social media user said: “Imagine how funny that would have been to see from the customer’s point of view.”Another added: “I really hope she wasn’t flirting with that man because THAT would be awkward.”A third commented: “Why would she open it knowing you’re right there…”
