ScotRail is set to reduce social distancing on their trains and stations to a one-metre minimum from Monday. The travel operator and Network Rail announced the change as part of the continued guidance issued by the Scottish Government earlier this month.
The number of passengers allowed on trains will remain “significantly reduced” to help make social distancing easier for travellers.
But commuters are still being urged to consider using alternative methods of transport where possible. Rules on wearing face masks remain unchanged after being made mandatory on June 22.
