Scotland is in for some tropical weather as forecasters predict temperatures as high as 21C in parts of the country this weekend.
The sunny snap would make the country hotter than Ibiza, which according to the Met Office will only reach highs of 19C on Saturday, May 13.
Both Glasgow and Inverness could reach the 20C mark in the mid afternoon on Saturday, Met Office forecasters have predicted.
However, BBC weather suggests that it could get even hotter, with a sizzling peak of 21C forecasted for Inverness tomorrow. "Tomorrow morning will see clear skies and plenty of sunshine," states the current BBC forecast. "Similar conditions through the afternoon with just a few patches of light cloud developing." Unfortunately, it isn't expected to be quite as hot for some other major cities in the county, with the Met Office having Edinburgh as peaking at 17C and Aberdeen a huge 10C chillier at just 11C.
