He'd lost his spot as an automatic starter earlier in the season but has played every one of their last 14 games and captained them at Villa Park on Saturday, leading his side to a big Premier League win.
Rather than hit the town to celebrate, though, Steve Clarke's superstar hung back to sign autographs and pose for photos with young fans who had gathered at the gates.
Birmingham Live's Ashley Preece shared a heartwarming snap on Twitter showing McGinn greeting the youngsters who were clamouring for his attention.
