Everyone has their own local favourite, but some fish and chip shops are more acclaimed than others.Time Out recently published a list of the "17 best fish and chip shops in the UK".
A total of three Scottish chippies are included in the nationwide list.The highest-placing Scots takeaway on the magazine's roundup is the Anstruther Fish Bar.
Coming in at number five, the fish and chip shop is situated in the Fife town of Anstruther and overlooks its harbour.The Anstruther Fish Bar, which has previously been named the best in the country by VisitScotland, offers a varied fish menu of haddock, sole, hake, and more.
