An international manhunt is underway for a Scot wanted in connection with a one-tonne cocaine haul uncovered at the Port of Dover.
The National Crime Agency also hopes to question James Stevenson after around 28 million Etizolam ‘street valium’ tablets were seized at a pill factory in England.
The 56-year-old believes he may hold crucial information about a series of fire attacks in the Lanarkshire and Forth Valley areas, which took place in May 2020.
Law enforcement officials believe Stevenson, who was last seen in the Rutherglen area, may be living in Spain. He is described as being white, around 5ft 9in tall, stocky with grey hair and has a scar on the left hand side of his face.Members of the public are being urged not to approach him but to contact authorities immediately.NCA Regional Head of Investigation for Scotland Gerry McLean said: “Stevenson is one of Scotland’s most wanted fugitives.“He knows we are looking for him in connection with organised crime on both sides of the border.“The NCA and Police Scotland will not rest until he is captured.
