A new list of the "best places to go in the UK and Ireland in 2024" has been published by a luxury travel magazine, including two Scottish destinations.As part of its global guide to the 'Best Places to Go in 2024', Condé Nast Traveler has shared its picks for the UK's best locations to visit.
Out of the choices, two are situated in Scotland.The first Scottish destination to be named is the Cairngorms mountain range in the eastern Highlands.
According to the magazine, it is ideal for those after "wide-scale rewilding and vast open spaces". With two months of winter still to go, the Cairngorms are the ideal place to head if you are keen for a frosty hike.
Condé Nast Traveler also applauded the country's largest national park for being home to "some of the UK’s rarest flora and fauna", including wildcats, birds, and beavers.In terms of places to stay around the Cairngorms, Gairnshiel Lodge and The Fife Arms were named as highlights.
