Scots are being warned to brace for more turbulent weather, as the country is to see snow, ice, wind and rain hit this weekend.
The Met Office has several weather warnings in place across Saturday and Sunday. A yellow alert for "strong winds and heavy rain" that is to hit most of western and southern Scotland on Saturday, January 14.
A separate warning for ice in the north is in place for later today, with drivers being warned over travel disruptions due to "icy stretches on untreated areas." Rain is due to start falling this afternoon and will last until after midnight.
Up to 10cm of snow is due to fall on Southern Uplands from 10 pm on Saturday until tomorrow morning. This will develop into more widespread snow showers on Sunday as a third yellow alert for snow and ice is in place from Sunday until Wednesday.Forecasters predict up to 15cm of snowfall at the start of the week, warning motorists over further travel disruption.
