A 12-year-old schoolgirl who died after being hit by a van has now been named as Lexi McDavid. She was hit by a white Mercedes van as she got off the bus on Princess Drive on Tuesday, June 7, according to Merseyside police.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 3.30pm. Police confirmed that the driver of the van remained at the scene as is continuing to assist police with enquiries into the incident.
They are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact them as soon as possible, the Liverpool Echo reports. "An investigation is ongoing and we’d ask that anyone who witnessed the collision or captured anything on dashcam or other devices and has yet to come forward does so as soon as possible.
