A schoolboy was unlawfully killed by his friend, a coroner has ruled after a dramatic second inquest. Yousef Makki, 17, was fatally stabbed by Joshua Molnar in Hale Barns, Trafford, on March 2, 2019.An inquest in 2021 was quashed by the courts after a legal challenge by Yousef's family.
Previously, Molnar had been acquitted of manslaughter in a criminal trial. The Makki family took the case to judicial review last year and secured a new hearing, which was held at Stockport Coroners' Court last week.
Today, coroner Geraint Williams concluded that Yousef was unlawfully killed by Molnar, whose actions he said amounted to manslaughter, Manchester Evening News reports.Yousef was stabbed through the heart by Molnar after an argument.
The pair had been out with another friend, Adam Chowdhary, riding their bikes and smoking cannabis.Chowdhary called a drug dealer to buy more cannabis, but two 'heavies' of the dealer attacked Molnar and stole his bike.
