A school brought in the police after a ‘disturbance’ broke out on its grounds. Tottington High School in Bury called the police after a ‘group of youths who were unknown to the school’ began to gather outside.
A letter sent by Tottington High School to parents and carers, seen by the M.E.N, states that at 3pm yesterday (May 2) ‘a group of youths who were unknown to the school’ gathered outside.

Officers were deployed to assess the situation. No arrests were made and no injuries were reported, police said. At 3.41pm yesterday the school published a Facebook post stating that part of the Tottington Lines had been closed due to the incident.
