Jamie Lang Sideral Cinema has boarded the buzzy Spanish feature project “Three Summer Days,” joining Nexus CreaFilms – producers of Berlin Panorma winner “Deaf” – and Magnética Cine, bringing together some of the most influential names in Spanish cinema to back the compelling debut feature of director Álvaro López Alba. “Three Summer Days” delves into the complexities of family relationships during a brief but intense period at the beach.
The story follows Cris, who has fallen in love with a boy while her friendship with Miri deteriorates; Dani, who feels lonely, pines after Miri, and seeks refuge in video games; and José, the father of the two teenagers, whose current relationship is in jeopardy for reasons unknown to him but apparent to everyone else.
Over the course of three days, this family attempts to reconnect amidst growing secrets, jealousies, insecurities and miscommunication.
The film is currently in an advanced stage of development, with a strong version of the script ready after being refined at some of Spain’s most prestigious labs.
