Now the former Top of the Pops star has opened up on the moment she told her children, and how worried she was about their reaction after she recently lost a friend to the disease.
Speaking on Tuesday’s episode of Loose Women, mum-of-two Sarah spoke about dealing with the diagnosis, and admitted it was ‘triggering’ having ‘lost a friend last year at 33 to an aggressive cancer. ’She explained that her friend Faye, who died last year, was a ‘school mum friend’ who her children knew about, and it made her even more worried to tell her son and daughter.
