Writing in her new book, We Can All Make It, Sara gushes that she learned a lot from Deborah as she had been “flying the flag for women in business” and helped to “forge paths that made [Sara’s] journey smoother.”When it came to their first day together in the Den, Sara quickly discovered that the business tycoons had very different ways of doing things.She recalls her first ever pitch which consisted of a street-food truck parking up in the Den.
Sara has now been on the BBC show for three years and her and Deborah have struck up a good friendship. However, looking back on the awkward moment, Sara says Deborah “definitely put her in her place”.She told Express.co.uk: “I didn't feel intimidated, but I definitely felt put in my place! “When I reflected on the situation I thought, wow, Deborah has had to lay the groundwork and the foundations for other female Dragons to come in that Den and be successful.
