Saoirse Ronan Discusses Ryan Gosling Being Fired From 'The Lovely Bones,' Says Reasons Were 'Valid'

The 30-year-old actress worked with the Barbie star on 2014′s Lost River. However, years earlier they were supposed to to play father and daughter in the 2009 movie. Ryan was fired before they’d even gotten to film a scene together.

It was later revealed that the actor and director Peter Jackson had “creative differences” over his character’s appearance with Ryan putting on a substantial amount of weight before filming. Saoirse said that him being fired was not “disorienting” or “scary.” “I think I just loved Ryan.
