Millions of people around the world have watched Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral live on television, including many famous faces who took to social media to pay tribute to the late monarch on this momentous day.

Amanda Holden shared a black and white photo of the monarch, and simply wrote: "Rest in Peace your Majesty." Sophie Hinchliffe, also known as Mrs Hinch, took a break from her family holiday in Malta to repost the newly released photo of the Queen.

She added the words 'Thank you Ma'am' and a passage to remind her followers about the moment of silence that took place earlier in the day.

Ferne McCann showed her daughter Sunday with three other children closely watching the "beautiful service", and prepared some sandwiches and scones for the day that is also about celebrating the Queen's incredible life.
