Bryan Randall, who died on Aug. 5 after a private fight with ALS.However, the photographer’s untimely death at the age of 57 from ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) has spurred a 500% increase in donations to the ALS Association.The Oscar winner, 59, and her family had previously asked that “in lieu of flowers, please donate to ALS Association and Massachusetts General Hospital.”The organization told TMZ that contributions have skyrocketed since Randall’s passing.“We’re grateful for the amazing outpouring of support in honor of Bryan.
The money pouring in will help our urgent work to make ALS a livable disease through local care, national advocacy, and global ALS research,” the foundation revealed to the publication.Bullock and Randall’s family shared in a statement on Saturday the tragic news of his death.“It is with great sadness that we share that on August 5th Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a 3 year battle with ALS,” they noted. “Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request.
