The movie was adapted from the 2006 book “The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game.” Written by Michael Lewis, it tells the story of Oher, one of thirteen children born to a drug-addicted mother, and his rise to football stardom after being taken in by the seemingly generous Tuohy family.
Some armchair commentators are rushing to judgment on social media, insisting the actress, grieving over the recent death of partner Bryan Randall, is somehow complicit in the depressing domestic dust-up. “Sandra Bullock should give her Oscar back,” slammed sports broadcaster Brandon Walker on X. “She knows she didn’t deserve that s–t!” “Sandra Bullock yelled ‘run the dang ball’ a couple times and had the academy trembling on their hands and knees,” a second armchair critic sniped. “For some reason, the whole blind side was fake thing makes me just hate Sandra Bullock,” stated another online opinionista.
The Post reached out to Bullock for comment. Almost drowning out the chorus of negativity directed at the “Miss Congeniality” actress, many fans have rushed to Bullock’s defense, claiming that the actress, 59, took a job and is not responsible for anything else. “Now what y’all NOT gon do is blame Sandra Bullock for that Blind Side mess,” defended one fan.
