Manchester is a city renowned for its vibrant nightlife, but not so long clubbers also flocked to another Greater Manchester town for a memorable night out.
Recently, we took a look back at Stalybridge's lost nightclubs and bars in the Noughties - a time it was so popular it was nicknamed 'Staly Vegas'.
This time, we look at Ashton-under-Lyne, which, in the '90s and '00s, was teeming with bars and clubs that attracted punters from all over.
So popular was Ashton for its nightlife, one commenter posted on our 'Staly Vegas' story on Instagram that it was given the nickname "San Ashtonio".
