With just weeks left until the highly-anticipated Avatar: The Way of Water hits theaters, star Sam Worthington has revealed they've already shot most of Avatar 3.The 46-year-old Australian actor returns in the sequel to 2009's Avatar as Jake Sully, who has a new family of his own on Pandora.Avatar: The Way of Water - which will need to make $2 billion just to break even - will lead into Avatar 3, currently expected to hit theaters December 20, 2024, with Worthington revealing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that between 80% and 90% of Avatar 3 has already been filmed.

We're still owing some scenes,' Worthington said, which brought a few gasps from those in the crowd.He also added that there were some scenes already filmed for Avatar 4, simply because they involved kids that would be too old if they waited. 'And in Four we did a few scenes because the kids were aging out, so we have to do it before they get a bit older,' Worthington explained.
