Following his second place finish at the Eurovision Song Contest last night, Sam Ryder is set to soar into the UK Top 10 for the first time this Friday with SPACE MAN.
In what proved to be a nail-biting finish, the UK - who had been leading at the top of the leaderboard with the jury votes - lost out to Ukraine's entry the Kalush Orchestra who surged to victory with a staggering 631 points for the song Stefania.
SPACE MAN gained 466 points through both the jury and public votes - the highest score the UK has ever seen in the competition, and our highest placing since Imaani also finished in the runner-up position with Where Are You?
in 1998. And Sam's success is also going to pay off on the UK's Official Charts. In our mid-week First Look Update, SPACE MAN is tracking to rocket into the UK Top 10, currently at Number 8.
