EXCLUSIVE: Sam Morrison‘s acclaimed solo play Sugar Daddy will be staged in Beverly Hills, California, prior to a planned, previously unannounced Broadway run in 2025.
The comic and poignant show, which surfaced at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and later had a critically lauded three-times-extended Off Broadway engagement at the SoHo Playhouse, will play the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills from September 20-October 13 this year (opening night is September 29), with a Broadway run planned for 2025.
Sugar Daddy is produced by Edgewood Entertainment (Producers Dale A. Mott and Charles D. Urstadt), and the Wallis Annenberg production will be directed by Tony Award nominee Stephen Brackett (A Strange Loop).
Broadway details have not yet been announced. The synopsis: “One summer in the gay paradise of Provincetown, MA., Sam met the sexy silver zaddy of his dreams, igniting a romance for the ages.
