Sam Heughan shares unexpected career dream before finding Outlander fame

Sam Heughan appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and shared what his unusual pre-fame dream career would be.The Balmaclellan-born actor 43, is currently set to release his third book, Clanlands in New Zealand: Kiwis, Kilts, and an Adventure Down Under, with Outlander co-star Graham McTavish, 62.

The actors have previously worked together on two other books - 'The Clanlands Almanac: Seasonal Stories from Scotland' and 'Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other' - as well as their travel show Men In Kilts.

Heughan, who previously recalled his days as a waiter in his memoir Waypoints, told Fallon about his dream to pursue being a magician when he was younger.

The talk show host asked: "Did I read this right? Did you want to be a magician when you were growing up?"Heughan replied: "I probably wanted to be a lot of things growing up.
