Sam Faiers has said breastfeeding her newborn baby boy Edward has been "tough", revealing it has also been "painful" for her at times.
The former TOWIE star, 31, breastfed Paul, now, six, and Rosie, now four, until they were 15 months old. She planned to do the same with her newborn, but says it has been challenging. "With Edward it’s been tough,” admits Sam. “His latch hasn’t been as strong.
We’re getting there but it’s been a rocky road. I’ve had two occasions now where I’ve had blocked ducts and it’s so painful." She continued: “Now, where I’ve got an overloaded milk supply, I’m trying my hardest to pump off some milk, then get him on the boob when it’s not squirting out in his face, but it’s almost like it’s too much. “Then he’s coming off the boob with his weak latch and taking in air and crying because he’s gassy.
It’s a vicious circle." Sam added: "It’s got better over the past couple of weeks but the first few weeks were tough. "I didn’t have that with the other two.” Sam previously spoke about juggling her life with a newborn since becoming a mother of three in May.
