Sam Cosgrove is hell-bent on leading the Aberdeen line in their Scottish Cup cracker with Celtic. The 23-year-old has not kicked a ball competitively after suffering a knee injury against Hibs in pre-season.
Cosgrove is due to undergo a scan next week and is expected to be able to up his rehab before a return to full training by the end of this month.The Dons are Hampden-bound on the weekend of October 31 to face the Hoops in last season’s semi-final clash.
Boss McInnes said: “Sam is coming along well. He gets a scan next week to check everything is healing properly. “Once he’s had his scan, if we get the results we hope and expect to get, then we’ll be able to increase his work.
