The search of woodland in Salford will continue over the weekend as part of murder investigation. Huge resources have been committed by GMP to solving the mystery of human remains found in Kersal.
The inquiry was triggered at 5.50pm on Thursday last week (April 4) when a person out walking made a grim discovery. In plain sight, and off a footpath, they found the torso of a man wrapped in multiple sheets of cellophane.
Detectives believe the victim is 'older than 40' and when discovered 'had only been dead for a matter of days'. The find was made off Radford Street in the Kersal Dale area.
