Police have launched a murder probe after a young dad was allegedly stabbed to death in a rammy involving a crossbow in Port Glasgow.
Jack Trainner, 27, was found with serious injuries in a common close on Saturday night and later died at the scene. Police are treating his death as a "targeted attack".Officers cordoned off a large area of the seaside town's Brookfield Road as a probe continues - and on Monday evening officers confirmed they were treating the death as murder.An extensive investigation is under way to establish the full circumstances of what happened and detectives are continuing to appeal for information.Detective Chief Inspector Graham McCreadie, from the Major Investigation Teams, said: “Jack's family and friends will continue to be supported throughout our enquiries.
