Salford Central station will close for two months during a £10m revamp next year. Trains will not stop at the station from February 10 to April 21 while work takes place to modernise the building, with plans for a new ticket office, accessibility upgrades, and Bee Network branding.

Closures are also planned on April 27 and May 4, with Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) and Network Rail warning passengers to expect disruption on their journeys.

Rail tickets will be accepted on Bee Network buses between Salford Crescent, Salford Central, and city centre stations including Manchester Oxford Road during the two-month closure and on specified weekends, TfGM said.
