Michael Kirk Douglas (born September 25, 1944) is an American actor and producer. He has received numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and the AFI Life Achievement Award.
The elder son of Kirk Douglas and Diana Dill, Douglas received his Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of California, Santa Barbara. His early acting roles included film, stage, and television productions. Douglas first achieved prominence for his performance in the ABC police procedural television series The Streets of San Francisco, for which he received three consecutive Emmy Award nominations.

msn.comUkraine amidst the on-going battle with Russia. Among those sharing their support was veteran actor Michael Douglas. The 77-year-old turned up to the event hoping to add to his illustrious award-winning resume by bagging awards for his performance in The Kominsky Method.
He was nominated for both the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series and the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
But his appearance on the red carpet showed a message of defiance as he smartly dressed in a black suit and finished the look off by wearing a handkerchief the colours of the Ukraine flag.
Speaking on the red carpet about his show of support he told Access' presenter: "This is not for the LA Rams. This is the colour of the Ukrainian flag. "If ever there was a time for us to appreciate about what true democracy is, I'm just so proud of what the people in this country have done.
