Matt Minton mminton@variety.com The writing might be on the wall, but Shemar Moore isn’t ready to be done with “S.W.A.T.” quite yet.

Following the news that “S.W.A.T.” was cancelled by CBS for a third time after eight seasons and 163 episodes, series star Moore, who plays Sergeant Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, took to Instagram Thursday to express his disappointment.A post shared by Shemar Moore (@shemarfmoore) “Here we are, Season 8, three weeks away from the finale [and] we are cancelled – again,” Moore said to his followers. “It sucks.” Moore recalled how he was asked to give a speech on-set to what he called “the most amazing crew in Hollywood.” In the video, he gave his thanks to CBS, recognizing how shows like “Criminal Minds” and “S.W.A.T.” helped kick off his long-running career.

That didn’t stop Moore from also proclaiming: “I ain’t done yet.” He called for Netflix, where the first seven seasons of the show are currently streaming in the U.S., to pick up the show and get it back and running.

He described how not long ago, the show managed to climb the platform’s rankings to #1. “So Netflix, if you’re interested in a show that is on autopilot that the world is watching, we’d love to come play.” Moore isn’t the only long-running member of the cast to express disappointment in the show’s sudden cancellation.
