Ryanair’s CEO has predicted that foreign holidays for Scots could resume as early as ‘June’. Michael O’Leary spoke on Good Morning Britain today, where he claimed that all restrictions on short-haul travel from the UK to some European countries could be lifted in the summer.
But the budget airline's boss has put a lot of hope on the current vaccine rollout - which has been slower in Europe than it has been in the UK.More than half of all adults in the UK have received their first dose of the jab so far, while it is believed that just 15% of the population of some European countries have been given theirs.
O’Leary is hopeful that Europe will be able to catch up with the UK and believes that flights to the likes of Greece, Spain and Portugal.
