As leaders from around the globe clamour to be among the first to meet with US President Joe Biden, one little Arklow girl has already beaten them to the punch.
Joanie Krane met the then Vice President when he travelled to Ireland in 2016 and she had the best story to tell. The 10-year-old phoned into the Ryan Tubridy show on RTE’s Radio 1 to take part in the ‘Kids Know Stuff Quiz’ and had Ryan in stitches with what he has dubbed his ‘favourite Joe Biden in Ireland story.’ Joanie recalled how her family had met Mr Biden at Lily Finnegan’s pub in Carlingford while he was exploring his Irish roots.
