The two parents were 'super proud' to see their child following in their footsteps to pursue a career in acting, reports the Mirror.The BBC show, which originally aired from 2006 to 2015, returned earlier this week after an eight year break.
The show's revival saw returning characters and a host of new faces at the school.Among the cast for the new series is Scarlett, who is the child of the former Coronation Street stars Tina, and Ryan.
Alongside her stint on Corrie, Tina also had herself previously appeared in Waterloo Road. However, now the mother has passed on her acting legacy to her 14-year-old daughter who plays Izzy Charles in the hit drama.
The show is an all family affair as Scarlett's on-screen dad is played by her uncle Adam Thomas.Meanwhile, the teen's on-screen brother, Tommy Charles, is played by Adam's son Teddy Thomas.
