Hibs have signed Huddersfield goalkeeper Ryan Schofield on a season-long loan after back-up Kevin Dabrowski was crocked in training.

The 22-year-old heads back to the Premiership after making three appearances on loan at Livingston three seasons ago and is expected to go straight into the squad for Saturday’s trip to face St Mirren.

Lee Johnson had to move quickly to land Schofield after Dabrowski damaged shoulder ligaments in a training ground collision on Thursday leaving Hibs with no senior back-up to David Marshall.

The Polish keeper has been ruled out for a minimum two months and with third choice Murray Johnson loaned out to Airdrie it left Johnson scrambling for a replacement.
