A gran has been left angered after she was sent home from hospital without an X-ray when her hip was badly broken. Joy Gray, 61, who lives on Half Edge Lane in Eccles says she suffered a fall on her hip on August 9.

Four days later on August 12 she went to Salford Royal A&E to be checked out. She says she was left waiting for eight hours and then told she had minor injuries, sent home and told to take pain killers.

Joy, who had an aneurism five years ago, which left her in a coma for two weeks and partially paralysed down her left side, says she was told her hip was just bruised.
