Jack Dunn At the Friday night opening of his stage show, “From New York, With Love” at Radio City Music Hall, Hugh Jackman received a surprise visit from his “Deadpool & Wolverine” costar Ryan Reynolds (via People).
During a Q&A break in the live performance, which saw the “X-Men” star rehash songs from “The Music Man,” “The Boy From Oz,” “The Greatest Showman” and “Les Misérables,” Reynolds emerged from the crowd to share some congratulatory remarks with Jackman.
Opening with a few jokes, Reynolds said of the show, “I was told this was going to be a comedy version of ‘Les Mis’ as a one-man show.
We all said it was a terrible idea but he carried on. I see he’s duped me once again!” He then launched into a sentimental speech about his long-time collaborator: “This was the first major movie star I ever worked with, 16 or 17 years ago on ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine.’ And I was young still.
