He missed 11 games due to injury but made an impact from the bench in the 1-1 draw away to Brondby by providing the assist for fellow substitute Ianis Hagi's equaliser.
And former Celtic star McAvennie gave a gleaming analysis of the former Liverpool man, who he reckons Rangers will never be able to replace should they eventually sell him.
