Ryan Giggs denied he tried to 'control' his former girlfriend's 'every movement' or 'make her into a slave', as his trial continues.
The former Manchester United star, 48, finished giving evidence after spending three days in the witness box at Manchester Crown Court.
He denies headbutting Kate Greville and elbowing her sister Emma in the same incident in November 2020. He has also pleaded not guilty to displaying controlling or coercive behaviour towards his ex between August 2017 and November 2020.
On the ninth day of the trial, jurors also heard a number of affectionate text messages which the couple exchanged. In a message in April 2017, Mr Giggs told Ms Greville: "I have to continuously ask 'how the f*** did I pull you'.
