Rutherglen Glencairn boss Joe Pryce says he’ll need every member of his squad for a run of league games in December and January that he feels are ‘crucial’ to their season.Pryce reckons the end of a period of eight or nine games will tell everybody in the West of Scotland First Division where they are in the promotion race, and hopes Glens are up there.Only one of Glens’ last eight games has been played in the league, meaning they’ve slipped down to fourth place, but with as many as four games in hand against rivals.Pryce gave fringe players a run out in their 3-1 South Challenge Cup fourth-round win over Heriot-Watt University at the Oriam in Edinburgh a fortnight ago and in their 3-0 West of Scotland Cup third round win away to Glasgow University on Saturday.But as the festive season approaches, it is set to be a pivotal period for Glens’ hopes.Pryce said: “We’re going to need every member of the squad, come December and January, because we’re going into a spell where we have eight, possibly nine, league matches on the bounce.“December and January are going to be crucial, they’re going to let everybody in the league know where they are.“The league will settle down, in terms of which teams are going for promotion, which teams are not, and we just hope to be round about it, come the end of January.“It’s really important that we utilise every member of the squad and get them ready for that, because they’re all going to be required through that period.“There are no cup games for the majority of teams.
